The rain hides my pain
Tears intertwine with the storm outside
Why do we cry in silence
Why is the world so violent
Hate, fear, and negative vibes thrive
While Love, Peace, and Joy say goodbye
Can’t speak politics
Don’t say your religious
The sadness continues to drown out my thoughts
I walk up to the podium
“I love America”
Yet she doesn’t love me back
The rain continues to pour
